SyncJe for iPhone allows you to
synchronize your Contacts, Calendar Information and Notes with SyncML servers.
A license must be purchased in order to utilize SyncJe for iPhone past the 15
day free trial period. Use of SyncJe for iPhone will require that your iPhone
has the ability to install third party applications. You will not be able to use SyncJe for iPhone
if you do not have an application loader.

Use of this SyncJe
product requires the ability to install third-party applications on your iPhone
using special Installer software. (IMPORTANT NOTE: Installing external
applications on an iPhone may void one or more warranties and should only be
performed by experienced, knowledgeable users. Nexthaus is not responsible
for anything that happens to your iPhone as a result of installing or using
this application. Proceed at your own risk.)

a unique username you wish to use for SyncJe for iPhone.
NOTE:
If you are purchasing multiple licenses, please make sure you enter a
different username for each license. If

Required Components
The
following is required for SyncJe for iPhone to function properly:

iPhone
with OS Version 1.0 to 1.1.4
·
Internet
Connection and Browser application on the iPhone
·
iPhone
Server access information: Username, Password, Server URL (from your SyncML
server provider)
·
Ability
to install third party applications to your iPhone.

2 Installing SyncJe for iPhone

Start your iPhone application

The application is downloaded using an application
called AppTap, which you must have already obtained and installed on your
iPhone. These installation instructions only cover the process of using AppTap to download and install the
SyncJe for iPhone application.
1. Run
the installer

Next,
select 'Sources'

3. Press
"edit", located in the top-right corner of the screen

"add", located in the top-left corner of the screen

5. A
dialog window opens, prompting you to enter a URL.
Enter the following URL:
http://www.nexthaus.com/iphone/ota
After entering the URL, press "OK".

Next,
select "install" and scroll down the list of repositories and select
"Nexthaus SyncJe"

7. Next,
select "Nexthaus SyncJe"

Select
'Install' icon in the upper right hand corner of your screen

You
may need to acknowledge a possible warning about third-party software:

you decide to continue, the software will automatically download and install

SyncJE client will be on your home screen, labeled 'SyncJe'

If you are using goosync, use the following
information in these fields:
URL: http://sync.goosync.com
Username: your goosync username
Password: your goosync password
Goosync users also need to
log into the goosync web interface, and change the device listed there to
"iPhone". Log in at https://www.goosync.com/ Login.aspx, then open
"My Device" and press the "Change Device" button. Select
"iPhone".
Mobical Users should enter
the following information:
URL: http://www.mobical.net/sync/server
Username: <Your Mobical username>
Password: <Your Mobical password>
When you are finished entering information
into these 3 fields, scroll down to view the other settings on this screen by
placing a finger on the screen and making an upwards flicking motion. The
following screen will be displayed:

You will also need to enter the folder name
for each data type you want to sync. This is the name of the folder on the
SyncML server. Generally, the typical folder names are:
Contacts: ./contacts
Calendar: ./calendar
Notes: ./vnotes
If you are syncing with an Oracle
Collaboration Suite server, use the following settings:
Contacts: ./contacts
Calendar: ./calendar/events
Notes: ./vnotes
Goosync users should use the following
settings:
Contacts: (turn this data type off)
Calendar: Calendar
Notes: (turn this data type off)
Mobical users should use the following folder
settings:
Contacts: ./contacts
Calendar: cal
Notes: ./vnotes
If these settings do not work, please contact
your SyncML server administrator for assistance in determining the correct
folder names.

The following
information is required in order to synchronize to the server:
Specify
folder names of each type of information you are synching. Please confirm with
your SyncML service provider what the exact folder name conventions are (Ex
./contacts ./calendar /.vnotes).
iPhone
Settings

Please ensure that your
SyncML service provider has iPhone listed and or enabled as the compliant
device to the SyncML servers and your SyncML account.

Server URL |
This is
where you enter the address to your SyncML server. There are some incidences
where on some models the line will break up into two or more. Common ways
for addresses to appear are: http://www.syncserver.net/sync http://www.syncserver.net:8080/sync |

Username Password |
Most if not
all servers will have at least one level of security, if you have a username
and password for SyncML security enter them here. |

Folders |
Folder
names are specified by your SyncML service provider. In order for SyncJe for
iPhone to properly sync with these folders, please ensure that all folder
names and conventions are followed. |

The
first time you synchronize a slow sync is performed. Slow sync sends all data
on your device to the server. After the initial sync all modifications made on
your device are recorded and transferred to the server in the next sync
session. Only data changed on the client
or the server will be synced.

Sync times
may vary due to
the following:

Internet connection
speed
·
Amount of data being transferred
and time elapsed during transfer.
·
OS version of your iPhone

If you decide
to buy the client after the trial period has expired you will get a license
name and license key, which will unlock the software.
This is where
you enter the address to your SyncML server. On some models the line will break
up into two or more, this is normal. Some common ways for addresses to appear are:

Most if not all
servers will have at least one level of security, if you have a user name and
password for SyncML security enter them here.
Since the sync
runs as a background task, there is no visual confirmation during sync.

All data
related to SyncJe for iPhone will be deleted including Settings and License
information.
Delete SyncJe from your iPhone

SyncJe will be permanently removed from your iPhone.
